Ironhold Legions

Ironhold Legions is the kind of strategy game that rewards patience. You move armies across a hex map, but the real battle is logistics: keep your supply lines open or watch a strong force wither. It took us a couple of defeats to respect that, and the game is better for not holding your hand.

Battles resolve with a satisfying mix of positioning and unit matchups. Spearmen crumble against cavalry on open ground but hold firm in forests. Once the system clicked, every move felt like a small puzzle. The campaign has real spikes in difficulty, so save often.

On a phone the map can feel cramped during big sieges, and pinch-zoom is your friend. Still, it's one of the more thoughtful mobile strategy games we've played this year.
